We’ll Not Crucify You – Modric Welcomes Mbappe Back To Real Madrid

Share

Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric, has welcomed Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, to join the Los Blancos in the near future.

Modric said Real Madrid would not crucify Mbappe after he recently snubbed a move to the LaLiga champions to remain at PSG.

Mbappe decided to snub Real Madrid and sign a new contract with PSG that will see him remain at the French Ligue 1 champions until 2025.

“Mbappe decided what he decided; it’s his right, and now he lives with that decision. We all thought he would come to us. It didn’t happen and now what? Well, we are not going to crucify the man. … In any context, no player is more important than the club. Madrid is the biggest, above all the players, and it will always be that way,” Modric told Sportske Novosti (via SPORT).

He added: “It is possible that Mbappe will come in a few years; if there is chemistry between him and Madrid. As much as it seems now, especially among the disappointed fans, that the ties were broken, things can happen again.”
